It is imperative, and I urge you to drop everything and watch it all the way through to the end, because even when you think he is wrapping things up, he’s not. Though Pastor JD does not cover all that I am about to touch upon (such as the year of Jubilee and Elul 29) nor do I get into all Pastor JD speaks about (like how mRNA technology is about re-writing the genetic code), Pastor JD calls us all to be looking up, because Jesus’ return is incredibly near, and could very well be this coming Yom Teruah – “the day that no man knows”.

So, here’s what’s going on right now. Elul 29 in this Shemita/Jubilee year is swiftly approaching. What is Elul 29 and what is the Shemita? The Shemita is the Sabbatical year on the Hebrew calendar, and it comes every seven years. In the Biblical Sabbatical year all debt was wiped out. This happened every seven years on God’s calendar. Then every 50 years is the Jubilee which comes on the back of a Shemita year – in other words one flows into the other. In the year of Jubilee all land is to be returned to its original owner. (Deuteronomy 15-18 and Leviticus 25). On the Hebrew calendar Elul 29 is the last day before Yom Teruah also known as Rosh HaShanah.

Elul 29

Historically speaking on this day in American history Elul 29 has been a day in which financial collapses have happened (sometimes on the day sometimes right after). Elul 29 this year falls on September 24/25^th on our calendar, and Yom Teruah begins the evening of the 25^th on into the 26^th. Remember the Jewish day begins in the evening. According to Jonathan Cahn in a Charisma interview of 2015, “In September, the Shemitah reaches it peak on Elul 29, the Day of Nullification, when all debt and credit are wiped away.” (https://www.charismanews.com/world/50468-jonathan-cahn-offers-biblical-insight-on-elul-29-the-day-of-nullification). It is also stated by a Kabbalistic Jewish website that “As the last month of the Jewish year, Elul is traditionaly a time of introspection and stocktaking — a time to review one’s deeds and spiritual progress over the past year and prepare for the upcoming “Days of Awe” of Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur” (https://www.chabad.org/calendar/view/day.asp?hdate=6/29&mode=j) (and no, Holy Light Ministries does not advocate Kabbalah. This has been quoted only to make a point).

The Shemita and the Jubilee

Now, why is Elul 29 significant this year? In short, the Shemita year is rolling into the Jubilee, and historically speaking, that has been a time of financial upheaval. In a September 5, 2022 article of Holy Light Ministries entitled “What is Really Going On: The Final Seconds,” I stated, “…the leadership of this world are in league together and are plotting to change the monetary system, possibly even by the end of this year. And I want to remind you, that Elul 29, according to Jonathan Cahn in his book The Mystery of the Shemita, has always been an important date when it comes to stock market crashes and other not so nice things (if you don’t have the book, just google the topic and you’ll find lots of commentary on it). By the way, Elul 29 this year is September 25, 2022. On top of this, this year of 2022/23 is thought to be the year of Jubilee, which is an incredible time wherein God said that those who’d lost their land could regain it and those who owed money no longer owed it, and all debt large and small was erased (Isn’t God awesome?! – Deuteronomy 15 and Leviticus 25). And wouldn’t it be just like Satan to be a copy cat and use that timing to bring about his own concept of a “reset”? Something that makes me go “hmmmmm”.”

Financial experts have been warning recently and publicly of looming problems in the economy, including Jamie Dimon who is JP Morgan Chase CEO and Greg Jensen who is co–chief investment officer of Bridgewater Associates. (sources listed below)

Furthermore, as I update this article on September 21st, according to the Fortune article from today, “Now economist Nouriel Roubini—a New York University professor and the CEO of Roubini Macro Associates—whose prescience of the 2007 and 2008 housing market crash earned him the nickname Dr Doom —seems to have chosen a side. Even “Pope Francis has ordered that the Holy See and connected entities move all financial assets to the Institute for Works of Religion (IOR), commonly known as the Vatican bank.” And this is to be done no later than September 30, 2022. The Ukrainian Connection?

Furthermore, a member of the German Parliament and chancellor of the Christian Democratic Union party Friedrich Merz has warned recently, “Everyone will not forget September 24, 2022 and everyone will know exactly where he or she was” (http://endoftheamericandream.com/what-ominous-event-do-they-have-planned-for-september-24th/). A direct quote from the subtitles of Merz on youtube states, “… this twenty-fourth of September 2022 will remain in our memories . . .” And though Merz does allude to Ukraine regarding that date, it remains unclear as to what he thinks will have happened on that date. (Note: the chancellorship of this party once belonged to Angela Merkel until she retired in 2021).

Thus, quite possibly what is about to happen financially is inseparably linked to the fictitious Ukrainian/Russian conflict (https://holylight4u.wordpress.com/2022/03/17/do-not-be-deceived-ukraine/). In other words, the narrative among world leaders and the new media will be that whatever happens financially was caused by the conflict in Ukraine. The Red Heifer and the Rebuilding of the Temple

And on top of what is about to happen in the economy and Ukraine, there is the incredible unfolding news regarding the building of the Temple in Jerusalem. For years they have had all the resources and money available to them to begin the building of the Temple, but they apparently lacked two things: red heifers and the right timing. It appears that on September 15^th the right timing and the red heifers arrived in Israel. “The Temple Institute and Boneh Israel made a huge step towards reinstating the Temple service on Thursday when five red heifers landed at Ben Gurion International Airport…From the time of Moses, who personally prepared the first heifer, until the destruction of the Temple, only nine red heifers were prepared. Nonetheless, this was sufficient to maintain the ritual purity of the entire nation for almost 2,000 years. According to Jewish tradition, there will only be ten red heifers in human history with the tenth heifer ushering in the Messianic era. Rabbi Moshe ben Maimon (Maimonides), the most renowned medieval Jewish scholar known by the acronym Rambam, wrote in his explanation of the mitzvah that “the tenth red heifer will be accomplished by the king, the Messiah; may he be revealed speedily, Amen, May it be God’s will.””

The Temple Train and Passover 2023

To show that they mean business another article from September 7, 2022 states, “Israel is upgrading its already impressive international airport. The government is also working on a railway infrastructure that will bring international travelers directly from the airport to the Temple Mount. This will enable all 70 nations to come to worship God in Jerusalem’s House of prayer, a vision that the government has already hinted is their true intention. The Director General of the Airports Authority, Hagai Topolansky, announced that in 2023, Ben Gurion International Airport will open a new mega-terminal…In 2020, Israel’s Transportation Ministry said that it would move ahead with plans to build an extension of the Tel Aviv-Jerusalem high-speed line that would directly connect Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion International Airport to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. A proposal was made to name the future Temple train station after Donald Trump…Transportation infrastructure will play an essential role in the Third Temple as a “House of Prayer for All Nations.”…this pre-Messiah train phenomenon being played out to an even stronger degree with the new high-speed track that will bring travelers directly from Ben Gurion International Airport to the Western Wall in Jerusalem. The train is expected to begin service in April, just in time for the Passover holiday.”

Conclusion

So, here’s the run down: the Temple train will be ready for passengers by Passover April 2023, there are perfect red heifers recently delivered to Israeli soil, financial experts are predicting “something worse than a recession” coming very soon, a German chancellor just predicted that September 24^th will be a day we will long remember, the Russian economy has already crashed, Dr. Doom has predicted long and horrible economic crash in the U.S. no later than by the end of 2022, the Biblical Sabbatical year is merging into a the year of Jubilee, and the day of Elul 29 in which other economic crashes has happened is coming quickly upon us.

Though we do not know when Jesus really will return, and though we do not know what really will take place on September 24th or 25th or 26th or any day after or before that for that matter, I am called to warn others of what appears to be coming based on the signs at hand (Ezekiel 33). Indeed, we all are. Furthermore, Jesus wants us to be vigilant in prayer, boldly evangelistic, and fearlessly looking up for our redemption is drawing near. There are far too many who think we are called to be “Joseph’s” in a physical sense, meaning we are to be storing up all sorts of food and supplies. In reality, Jesus never eluded to Joseph and never told anyone to store up food when you see all these things coming on the earth. Instead, Jesus called us to trust the Father for our “daily” needs (Matthew 6:11; Luke 11:3; Luke 12:13-34). Think about that. Daily. Indeed, if we are to be like Joseph at all, it would be in a spiritual way in that we provide people with spiritual food that they need to get through this overwhelmingly dark and demonic time. ““Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord GOD, “That I will send a famine on the land, Not a famine of bread, Nor a thirst for water, But of hearing the words of the LORD” (Amos 8:11).

Yom Teruah 2021

Believe it or not, we have arrived at the most incredible time of year again, the time of year wherein God’s feasts ought to be more front and center in our lives. Last year, 2020, this time was filled with prayer and repentance events in Washington D.C., Plymouth, Massachusetts, Texas, California etc. And though it seemed unlikely we would ever round this corner again, we have, and are here in 2021. So, what will this holiday be like this year? Guess we’re going to find out!

What Is It?

To begin with, Yom Teruah is the first of the three Fall feasts of the Lord. Yom Teruah means, “the day (yom) of blowing or shouting (teruah)”. It is also referred to as Rosh HaShanah (meaning Head of the Year) and the Feast of Trumpets. The Jews claim that before the time of Moses and Mount Sinai this was known as the beginning (head) of the year. The Jews also consider this as the time when the creation of the world took place, specifically Adam and Eve (Mark Biltz’s Blood Moons, pg 82, 152). It is also the day when Noah stepped out of the ark onto dry ground (Mark Biltz’s Blood Moons, pg 36). They also claim that this is the head of the civil new year, while the religious new year begins in the month of Abib/Nisan in the spring (around our March). In 2 Kings 8:2 it is referred to as “the month of Ethaniam, which is the seventh month.” Ethanim means to be permanent, and since it is a plural word it probably referred to the holidays of the month rather than the month itself. However, this month on most Jewish modern calendars is called Tishri, though it is never called this in Scripture. Tishri is instead yet another adopted Babylonian name. That being said, God does not observe this as the head of the a year, nor does He recognize a “civil” year, but rather, calls it the seventh month. It is important to go with what God has said in His Spirit-inspired word, and not with the opinion of those who adopted the Babylonian mystical view of the calendar.

It says in Numbers 29:1, “And in the seventh month, and the first day of the month ye shall have an holy convocation [dress rehearsal]; ye shall do no servile work: it is a day [yom] of blowing [teruah] the trumpets unto you.”

It is the first day of what are traditionally referred to as Ten Days of Repentance and Awe, and is the day that people are continually made aware of the holiness and awesomeness of God.

The Tradition of the Shofar

On this day the shofar is blown 100 times. The Jews have established four different types of sounds emitted from the shofar on Yom Teruah, but God does not specify any of them in the Bible. God just refers to it as a day of blowing, which infers many times. Nevertheless, tradition has it that the three/four different sounds have names: Tekia (one long blast to get everyone to wake up), Shevarim (compared to the sound of weeping), Teruah (staccato sounds followed by a long blast that is urgent), Tekiah haGedolah (one very long blast, also referred to “the Last Trump.” Truly, from a Biblical standpoint, the name is Teruah, and that sound is urgent and demands attention.

The Shout

Before continuing, it must be said that Numbers 29:1 does not actually have the word trumpets or shofars in it, nor does Leviticus 23:24. The translators must have assumed that one is blowing something, and so they inserted a word in English that is not literally there in the Hebrew. At best the word would merely be implied. It is important to note that elsewhere in Scripture this word “Teruah” is a majority of the time translated as “shouts” of joy, joyful sounds, shouts of war, cries of alarm, war cries, and battle cries. Teruah is also used of trumpets in a handful of other instances signaling war or alarm, such as in Numbers 31:6.

The Timing

Now when does Yom Teruah begin? It’s always been said that no one knows exactly when. Why? Because this festival is based on the New Moon which is very difficult to detect, and there is only a small window of time that it can be seen. Throughout history it took two credible witnesses to declare the time when the sliver of the moon appears. Thus, this feast is known as the day when “no one knows the day or the hour” it begins. But, once the sighting time of the New Moon is agreed upon by two witnesses, the feast day officially begins. Even though modern calendars predict the new moon accurately, God’s way is for two witnesses to spot it and officially declare it.

Day of Repentance or Shouting:

What is the point of Yom Teruah? It is called a “memorial,” and is a call to remember God. And when we remember God, our sin comes to light. So, the obvious result of remembering God is repentance. It is a call for God’s people who’ve not already searched their hearts and fallen on their faces before God, to do so then. This is all preparation for Yom Kippur that follows, which is known as the Day of Atonement and/or Judgment. Remember, this is not a call to those who do not know God to repent. This is a call to believers to repent before a holy God, as seen in Joel 2. It pictures a day of deep remorse and overwhelming alarm and gut wrenching weeping.

Oddly enough though, its name does not merely refer to calls to repentance, but shouts of joy. It is an enigma, for while one camp of believers may be weeping at calls of alarm in the light of remembering a holy God, the other camp is shouting war cries of victory. How strange to have so much difference in one word. I would therefore assess that if you’ve already repented and sought the Lord, then this holiday is a day of rejoicing and shouting for joy! If you have not yet repented with genuine brokenness and gut wrenching, heart-felt wailing, then now is the time. Either way, we are to lift our voices, and trumpet them towards heaven.

Fulfilled In-Part:

Jesus fulfilled the four spring feasts at His first coming. Will He not fulfill fulfill the last three feasts at His second coming? After all, “no one knows the day or the hour” this feast day will arrive. Is it possible that Jesus could return at this time? Actually, it is inevitable that Jesus’ return is immanent. Indeed, it will come as a thief in the night. Could it be now?

It does appear to me, that the Yom Teruah of 2020, was at least in part fulfilled. Incredibly as the Church called out to God desperately in repentance at various events across the nation, such as Jonathan Cahn’s The Return, Franklin Graham’s Prayer March, Pastor Jack Hibb’s week of prayer and fasting, Pastor Dana Coverstone’s call to daily prayer, and Carter Conlon’s call to pray at Plymouth, and the essence of Yom Teruah and Joel 1-2 began to come to pass. 

I know that many have thought that Jesus would return on Yom Teruah because of the trumpets that sound this day, and it is still possible. After all, 1 Thessalonians 4 states that the Lord Himself shall descend with a shout, the voice of the archangel, and the “trump” of God. “16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” And Yom Teruah has everything to do with loud noises — shouting and shofars!

Though we are called to pray without ceasing and to watch unto prayer and to be vigilant always and to keep looking up, this holiday is a good reminder to return to or continue in this behavior. At this time, too many Christians are thinking that normal could return, that things could get better, that everything will be alright, that we all need to just try a little harder or vote for someone else. As they hope in this, and yes, even as they physically and legally fight for this, their spiritual vigilance has gotten fuzzy and prayer has tapered off. Thus, this holiday has come yet again as a reminder that we must surrender all; we must return to prayer; we must see the state of this nation and our world for what it is. May this holiday find you looking up with your eyes and hearts fixed upon Jesus, for our redemption is nearer now than last year at this time.

Could this be when the 2 witnesses appear of Revelation 11? After all, it takes two witnesses to confirm that this holiday can begin. Could this be when God sends His Son to go and get His Bride? After all, it is the day that no man knows. If He does indeed come for His Bride on that unknown day, surprising all as a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 4:16-chapter 5), then it would definitely be a call for great alarm as portrayed in Joel 2. Could this be when they sound the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm in God’s holy mountain, calling all to repentance because they missed the Day, and they know it? After all, would this not cause the greatest weeping, the deepest repentance, the most overwhelming alarm? We’ll see!

It appears to me, that this past Yom Teruah of September 18-20th (because it has always been two days) and these Days of Awe that we are in right now (the Days of Awe are the 10 days that fall between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur) are at least in part fulfilling the Biblical book of Joel. Incredibly as the Church calls out to God desperately in repentance and as many are coming to salvation and as worship protests are held across America from Los Angeles to Portland to Seattle to Chicago and New York, as persecution intensifies, and repentance events across the nation are held such as Jonathan Cahn’s The Return, Franklin Graham’s Prayer March, Pastor Jack Hibb’s week of prayer and fasting, and Pastor Dana Coverstone’s call to daily prayer, Joel 1-2 and the essence of Yom Teruah is indeed coming to pass!

Yes, Joel 1-2 is coming to pass as well. For one, Joel 2:28-32 began to come to pass in Acts 2. And now Joel 1 and 2:1-2; 12-17 and 28-32 as well. Let’s look at it briefly together.

Joel 1 also speaks of a horrendous plague of locusts, drought, fires, invasion, and great devastation. The locusts are described as those that eat everything, and indeed, such a plague has descended upon Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, the likes of which has never been seen before now. This year they bred rapidly and traveled swiftly across long distances causing extreme devastation. The situation is described as “dire”, and it is warned that upwards to 300,000 may die because of this overwhelming consumption of crops. Here in America the wine crops of California’s Bay area may be devastated as well because of the fires, and other crops throughout California will also be affected. Acres and acres and miles and miles of Midwest crops have been wiped out by the derecho, an inland hurricane; flooding has drowned the produce of the South, powerful hurricanes continue to ravage the South and Southeast and strange dust plumes miles wide crossed the Atlantic to settle on American soil. And unbeknownst to many Americans, the military of other nations are present here in America already, ready to take charge when all-out chaos breaks loose very soon. And the Church has been affected monetarily, for tithing initially was down, and in the coming economic crisis ahead, everyone will hurt. And joy is waning, though many try to return to normal. For returning to normal is only a mirage that will never be reached. And though there are some unemployed now, most Americans are not hurting financially or feeling deprived in their food supplies yet, but with the locust plagues and food crises around the world, as well as the flooding, hurricanes, fires, inland hurricanes and early snows of 2020, as well as the deliberate destruction of food, the United States will be affected sooner than we know.

We are seeing the book of Joel unfold right in front of us. I know that some Christians thought that Jesus would return on Yom Teruah because of the trumpets that sound on that day, but the Biblical passages regarding Yom Teruah do not even mention trumpets, but rather, shouting and remembrance. And Christians are remembering. And we are shouting out war cries in the heavenlies as we pray. We are slicing and dicing the enemy with the Word of the living God! We are realizing that our nation of America is sinking like the Titanic. We are seeing how far we have fallen, and we have fallen far. But, God! God is greater, and God’s will is being done. And Christians are awakening to the Teruah blast–the sound of alarm– and are via repentance and prayer keeping Yom Teruah –God’s holiday– even if they do not know it. We are seeing its fulfillment! Fully or in part? God knows! I believe it will be fully fulfilled when the Jews realize that they are in real trouble–Jacob’s Trouble to be exact–when the Church has been raptured and all hell is breaking loose.

Pastor Jessip told CBN News, “We’re in a real Nineveh moment. It’s a critical situation in the nation. And much like Jonah went into Nineveh and said, ‘You have 40 days and then it’s all over’ – listen, we are at that juncture right now in America. We have 40 days and all we know could be over. And so we need God to hear the cries of the righteous remnant.” [The Return is] not intended as some spectator event, and Jessip added, “This is not a presentation, a concert or a glorified prayer meeting. And truly as Yom Kippur draws nearer, more and more are repenting and seeking God’s face, and He is hearing and answering. For God silences the enemy and the avenger and establishes/ordains strength through the foolish things of this world, such as babes and sucklings….and Christians who pray and praise! If you are reading this after Saturday, please, still take this to heart and repent and seek the face of God while there is still time. For indeed, “who knows if He will turn and relent and leave a blessing behind Him…” Joel 2:14.

This is not about elections nor can it be fixed by elections. This is about repentance. This is about God’s people waking up. This is about warfare prayer. This is about that extra oil spoken of in Matthew 25. This is a call to holiness, without which we will not see the Lord (Hebrews 11). This is our last call, our final warning of the final game. The two minute warning has passed…..we’ve entered sudden death. This is it. Let’s not treat this lightly. Let’s play or shall I say “pray” for all we’re worth. The time is now.

God’s 3 Autumn Appointments

Jesus fulfilled all four of the Spring feasts, but He has not yet fulfilled the three Fall feasts. However, He will, for they are not just feasts; they’re not just about food and parties and family. They are appointments that God has set in place, predestined before the beginning of the world. They are dress rehearsals for that which Jesus will fully and perfectly fulfill down to the last detail, more than likely one right after the other at His Second Coming. “For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled,” Matthew 5:18. They are God’s appointed feasts and divine dress rehearsals. They are not Jewish. They are God’s. Therefore, as the people of God, let us pay attention to these feasts and be aware of their significance.

There are 3 Autumn appointments. Yom Teruah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot.

The first is Yom Teruah, otherwise know as Rosh HaShanah and the Feast of Trumpets. Though it is known as the day of trumpets the word often translated trumpets in the Bible actually means “shouting” or “blowing”. Though it has traditionally been known as the day that “no man knows” for it falls on a new moon that has to be confirmed by two witnesses, not much is actually said about this day in the Bible. Following the Days of Awe is Yom Kippur, which literally translated means “Day of Atonement.” This is the one day a year wherein the High Priest enters the Holy Place on his own behalf as well as the nation of Israel’s behalf. This is the most “Jewish” of all God’s holy days. The final holy day of the Lord is that of Sukkot, otherwise known as Tabernacles, for everyone is to live in homemade three sided booths at this time to commemorate camping in the wilderness after coming up out of Egypt. It also commemorates God coming down to dwell in a tabernacle among them. This is a holiday that will be celebrated by ALL throughout the Millennium (Zachariah 14), and all will trek to Jerusalem once a year to celebrate it. This is the most joyous of all God’s holidays for it is all about light and laughter and singing and dancing and great joy. It is truly a time that not only looks back on the Jews camping in the wilderness, but looks forward for Christians to that joyous time when Jesus will physically, literally dwell among us and will be the light in our midst! God’s Autumn Holidays

School has begun, coffee shops serve pumpkin lattes again, and the crisp feeling of Autumn tingles the air as the leaves of trees turn all shades of yellow, red and orange, and warm thoughts of the holidays drift through our minds. Holidays are special to most of us for various reasons, mostly because of family time, gifts, good food and all the decorations. There is a history that comes with most holidays, for every holiday had its beginning at some point in time and for some reason. It is important to know that reason or else the holiday loses its meaning, and one might as well call holidays “family time” instead of Thanksgiving or Christmas.

On that note, there are seven holidays that are special to God. They are most important and number one, because God says they are important. They are called “holy convocations” and “appointed feasts”.  Interestingly enough God’s holidays are not Christmas, Thanksgiving, Independence Day, Veterans Day, Labor Day, Halloween, or Mother’s Day. Not one of these holidays was put in place by God. They were all manmade.

Nevertheless, in Leviticus 23:1 “The Lord spoke . . . saying, “Speak to the people . . . and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the Lord that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts.””

What feasts are these that God is speaking about in this passage? There are four Spring feasts: Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits, and Pentecost. There are three Fall feasts: Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles. All four Spring festivals have been fulfilled through Jesus. He was our Passover Lamb, our buried Unleavened Bread, our First Fruits of the resurrection, and He sent the Holy Spirit on Pentecost. The three Fall feasts have not yet been fulfilled by Jesus.

There are those who say these feast days are Jewish, but God does not call them Jewish. He very clearly calls them “My appointed feasts.” Because they are His, it is imperative that we recognize their importance and purpose. Does this mean that we have to celebrate them? No. We don’t even have to celebrate Christmas or Thanksgiving, but it is more special when we do. Even so, it is a blessing to observe God’s appointed feasts, for in so doing we are celebrating what Jesus did for us and will do for us in the near future. Truly the focal point of these holidays is Jesus.

In the Hebrew language “feast” actually means “an appointment, fixed time.” And when God calls them “holy convocations,” convocation actually means “a rehearsal.” Therefore, all of God’s feasts are appointed times set apart by God as a dress rehearsals for something more to come.

A clear example of this is Passover, which was set in place on the night that God delivered the Israelites by the blood of the lamb from the death angel and out of Egypt. For hundreds of years, the Jews rightly celebrated Passover looking back at what God had done for them in Egypt. But God intended that more to be fulfilled through this “appointment” and so the people were to “rehearse” it until Jesus fulfilled it completely as the Passover Lamb. For it is by Jesus’ blood that we are delivered from death, hell and the grave. Now we too as Christians look back on Passover and remember all Jesus did for us. Clearly, this festival is not only meant for the Jews but for all who believe on Jesus’ Passover sacrifice. And clearly it is not just about food or family, but the focus is clearly on God.

So, as we enter the splendor of Autumn, let us remember that God has three “appointments” to meet with us as His people. The first appointment is Yom Teruah. The second appointment is Yom Kipper. And the final and most exciting appointment is that of Sukkot. These are not manmade holidays like Christmas and Independence Day; these are God made days for all God’s people.

We are living in the Last Days. Let’s be aware of what God is saying through His “appointed feasts,” and celebrate the soon return of Jesus!
