Dana Coverstone’s “Lincoln Dream”

This dream is very, very detailed. I am not going to get into the details nor interpret every facet. Others have attempted this tedious task. I will not do so. The long and the short of this dream is the present rule of lawlessness with the aim being the destruction of our American rule of law. This is happening right now in the unconstitutional actions of our House and Senate. Furthermore, this aligns with Coverstone’s “November” dream regarding the race of the Conestoga wagon toward the White House wherein a trap snaps upon the ones who were attempting to entrap, and everything blows up on them. It also aligns with Coverstone’s latest dream called “The “They Don’t Hate Me, They Hate You,” Dream,” regarding the trial in the Capitol, and also aligns with the “Plumb Line” dream wherein the members of the House and Senate of the Capitol do not measure up to God’s plumb line and are therefore judged, humbled and rendered immobile.

No matter how insane things in Washington D.C. may get, remember this, God is setting them up for judgment, and matters will not be solved on a natural level because God has determined to judge them. In order to do this, the cup of their wickedness must be full. It is nearly full enough to slosh over now. God’s judgment is coming.

Thus, we as Christians must not be worried about things in politics, but instead be focused on being about our Father’s business, on seeking first the Kingdom and His righteousness, on making sure our garments are white and without wrinkle, on being washed with the water of the Word, on being holy as He is holy, on preaching the Gospel boldly without fear, without hesitation and without reservation, for the Kingdom of God is coming, is near, is nigh at hand, and the King is coming SOON!!!

I am writing to those who are disheartened today, perhaps in shock, perhaps apprehensive, perhaps worried or fearful regarding the future of this nation called the United States. Since my childhood, I practically bled red, white and blue. I loved America with every beat of my heart, and in school (private) I fell in love with our founding, our Founding Fathers, and everything American including some Gospel and Country music (LOL). Unlike many who attended public schools, I learned about our Christian foundation that was/is based on godly principles; I learned that we are great because we are good, which according to de Tocqueville meant that we were godly. The root of our goodness was found embedded in the soil of our churches and in the hearts of honest, hard-working Christians.

However, something no one ever learns in school came upon me slowly over the last ten years: the startling, off-putting fact that the tares were growing up with the wheat. Though I do not intend to go into detail here, evil has been in the U.S. since the founding of this nation as well. Illuminists, Freemasons, and other secret societies were influential in the architectural design and art work, monuments and layout of Washington D.C., as well as in the wording of the drafting of important documents, big decisions, and so forth.

Nevertheless, God was behind the U.S. because the Pilgrims dedicated this nation to Him, and many of the Founding Fathers honored Him with their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor. And somehow, Christianity and Americanism became synonymous, even inseparable. It seems that somewhere along the way of this American journey, Christians, so rooted in the fertile soil of America, came to forget that this world is not our home. And yes, we had something special here. We had a voice here. We had a vote here. We were a nation “of the people, by the people and for the people.” We were unique, unlike any other. But… this is no longer the case. And we MUST remember, that though we had something good, something even better is coming incredibly soon.

A transformation has taken place deep inside of me in recent years, which took that red, white and blue blood and transformed it to the blood of a heavenly Kingdom that is immanent.

It is brewing in hearts of some to do all they can to save this nation by calling congressmen, senators, and governors to let them know they are displeased, as well as going to court in the name of their Constitutional freedoms; they are even to the point of using their Constitutional right of building militias. Perhaps you are one of those who thinks that this tried and true method will work or at least ought to be attempted. But, I must inform you that it will not work. And no, I am not being pessimistic. In the past this may have worked. But, not today. And here are two very pertinent reasons why: #1 The American Era is over and an Era of Lawlessness has begun, and #2 God is leading us to do something else.

#1 Just yesterday I was doing research regarding older persecution cases in the U.S. in the past 10 years. I started off looking into 4 cases and found a whole lot more. Not only this, but I found that these cases ended up losing court battles time after time, appeal after appeal, and on top of this, the Supreme Court would not even hear their cases. Along with this, in 2020, churches across America were struck down in local courts, fined exorbitant amounts of money, and a Calvary Chapel in Nevada even lost at the Supreme Court level when the Court stated that governors had the right to close churches during times of emergencies. Not only this, but the courts have ruled in favor of abortion time and again, in favor of gay marriage, in favor of godless schools over praying Christian coaches, homosexual couples over Christian business owners, jailed people with Christian morals and released countless criminals. And what they are doing in the school is beyond diabolical, from teaching sexual debauchery and immorality as common place to evolution to common core math. I am grieved that any parent, and especially a Christian parent, would leave their child in the public school system at this point in time!!!

All over our television screens we have seen the lawlessness taking hold of this nation, from Portland to Seattle to Chicago to the U.S. Capitol to blatant voter fraud to senseless killings and thievery and violence in city after city after city across this land. And this is not just here in America but around the world.

Am I saying that defending the Constitution is a losing battle? Really, what I am saying is that this is not the battle we are to be involved in at this time. The battle God is calling us to is spiritual. And that battle we will win, for Christ has overcome the world! (John 16:33; Ephesians 6; 2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

#2 What does God want from His people? Succinctly put: Broken repentance and a return to holiness (Psalm 51:17; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Hebrews 12:14). What is God doing with America? For those who have ears to hear, He is calling her one last time of repentance. To those who cannot and will not hear, He is setting them up for impending judgment. And yes, He is a God who judges in this earth (Psalm 96 and 98). He is the one who sets up kingdoms and rulers and also is the one who brings them down (Daniel 2:21)

Jesus said the world would go mad before His return (2 Timothy 3). He told us that there would be overwhelming fear that would grip the hearts of people, that lawlessness would be the spirit of the end of the age, that crazy, mad insane times would pervade society, and that DECEPTION would be everywhere and even be a threat to God’s people (Matthew 24, Luke 17, Luke 21, Mark 13, 2 Thessalonians 2, Revelation).

We are in that exact place right now. This has been made completely, crystal clear in the year 2020. And Jesus is calling His bride to be without spot or wrinkle, to be washed with the water of the word, to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, to not be shaken nor troubled by what is happening around us but instead to rest in His perfect peace, preach the Gospel boldly to the perishing, and to stand up and lift up our heads for our redemption is drawing near! “Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though its waters roar and be troubled, Though the mountains shake with its swelling…6 The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge…10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! 11 The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah,” (Psalm 46). His Kingdom is coming. His will is being done. Our God is still on the throne.

In the words of Pastor John MacArthur from the morning service of Sunday January 17, 2021, “The Kingdom of God is in no way linked to the kingdoms of men. And this is what sets the Church apart. Jesus said my Kingdom is not of this world. We face another inconsequential event politically in a few days [the inauguration]…meaningless to the Kingdom…” AMEN!

Think about the word “inconsequential”. This means that ALL that is transpiring politically, economically, socially, and legally is minor, unimportant, insignificant, paltry, trivial, irrelevant, meaningless and inappreciable in the grand scheme of things. No matter what the Democrats may boast about doing, no matter what the Republicans may be powerless to do, no matter what the president or governors may decree, no matter how unconstitutional things are, no matter what kind of persecution may fall upon the American church, no matter what hopes and dreams may be dashed, no matter what lifestyles may be stifled, no matter what vacations you may no longer be able to go on, no matter what vaccine mandates they make or what special COVID passes they may come up with, no matter what — let us be reminded, it is all inconsequential to God’s coming Kingdom and God’s divine plan.

Therefore, let’s keep this in mind as we move forward in the days ahead, and keep the main thing the main thing which is to preach the Gospel and be ready for the soon return of the King. Indeed, American Christians, let’s get our priorities straight — We are Christians first and foremost. Let’s be about our Father’s business. Crazy, mad, insane times are upon us. Lawlessness is the spirit of the age. Darkness has not only descended, but has permeated our society. More insanity is yet to come. It is time to quit thinking about preserving our own lives. It is time to quit trying to protect our bank accounts. It is time to quit playing church. It is time to get back to the word. It is time get serious about preaching the Gospel. It is time to wake up to the times in which we are living and realize that we are in the very last of the Last Days. It is time to repent of our sins, our lukewarmness, and be holy for He is holy and is coming back for a Church that is holy. Jesus is coming soon. Let’s be ready.

Some are still calling for American Christians to fight it out in the courts, to call your congressmen and senators, to legally pursue our Constitutional rights, to not lie down and give up. This nation is unique in that we have, as Christians had legal rights, been the majority, and experienced prosperity. Christians in no other nation of the world can boast like this. Though Christians in other nations do not have a legal leg to stand on and are minorities, we here in America have always had our Constitution and Bill of Rights, the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And so it seems logical during this time of impending doom and growing darkness, that American Christians would appeal to our legal system, stand on the Constitution, and defend their liberties, even to the point of forming militias (which it is our Constitutional right to do). They do not want to simply lay down and die. They are ready to stand and fight.

But… why are we here? Why have we come to this point? Why all the darkness? There is a one word answer to this: Sin.

Here is brief run down of that sin. More could be added to this list. On June 17, 1963, the Bible was removed from the classrooms of America, though since our inception the Bible had been a part of the curriculum of every school. January 22, 1973 the Roe v. Wade decision has led to the legalized killing of millions of babies. June 26, 2015, the Supreme Court in a 5-4 decision legalized gay marriage. And if all that sin was not enough, there’s pedophilia, pornography, the sex slave trade, high divorce rates, broken homes, drug abuse, the accelerated growth of other religions including Satanism which is has been deemed the ‘fastest growing religion’ in America; California just passed a law that children can opt for sex changes and another law that lowers penalties for pedophiles; Washington state just passed a sex ed law that is beyond perverse, which teaches 3rd graders sexual positions etc., the arch of Baal has been erected in Washington D.C. and Baal/idol worship is evident in our nation, and to add insult to injury, the persecution of Christians is ramping up all across the U.S. And then there is the sin that no one likes to acknowledge as sin: love of pleasure, desensitization through movies and music, “sleeping with” and “living with” boyfriends and girlfriends before marriage, dressing like the world (proactively–for both men and women), greed, never being satisfied, always being busy, busy, busy and never having time for God, His word, ministry or our children, keeping our children busy so that they too no longer have time to know God, their parents or the Word, allowing our children to be indoctrinated in the Public school system, prescription drug addiction (anti-anxiety/anti-depressant meds) and the list could go on and on and on.

Do we fight sin legally, Constitutionally, or with an armed militia?

The answer to sin is best found in the words of Jonathan Cahn who said recently, “As for America, the problem is not social or economic or cultural or political. The problem is ultimately spiritual. And so must be the answer. America has turned away from God, and its only hope is that it return to God. Choose true greatness, and lead in that return. Or…continue in this departure from God to destruction and judgment. As for those of you who love this nation and are burdened and fearful for its future, America’s ONLY HOPE is revival. Return. Without it, the nation is LOST.”

America, this is your Last Call. It is time to repent. It is time to return to the God of our founding, the Lord of our Constitution, the very reason that we exist as a nation — and for that matter as a person — at all. America has only been great because she’s been good — a God-honoring, Christian, godly nation. But, now, not only has she ceased to be good and ceased to be great, but the present, unhindered evil in nearly every political office in America is causing this nation to dive headlong into the abyss of God’s judgment. We are one of only two nations (America and Biblical Israel) in this world to have been founded upon God and His word, and thus because we have rejected His Kingship, His Headship, His Lordship. We have shut Him out of our schools, our courtrooms, our businesses and our homes, and now, He is leaving us, and His impending judgment will come soon. But God says, “For I am the Lord, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob. 7 Yet from the days of your fathers You have gone away from My ordinances And have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you…” (Malachi 3:6-7). Do not take for granted His merciful offer. It will not last long.

Church, this is your Last Call. It is time to realize that sin has infiltrated our doors, our homes, our hearts. May His conviction fall like fire in your souls when you read this, because our time is short, and His return is immanent. Let us say with David in Psalm 139:23, “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts, and see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” It is time for a return to holiness, for without holiness we will not see God (Hebrews 12:14).

And so…. a new American president has been inaugurated and sworn into office, president #46.

Before proceeding, what I am about to write is not a “fun” topic, but it is a necessary one. It is necessary because the exuberant promises of many are still resounding around America on Youtube and television programs, and “thus saith the Lord” is still resonating unashamedly on the airwaves of the world and ringing in people’s ears. It has taken me a while to write this. My heart is heavy concerning it. There is probably more that could be added to this article, but I feel I must publish this as it is for now in order for others to gain clarity concerning this troubling, up-to-date topic.

Of what am I speaking? The prophets and their promises of Trump’s second term. That’s right. The “prophets” have been trying to talk their way our of this one, spinning the present presidential election news by passing the blame on the opposing political party and desperately seeking for any excuse in order to explain away the fact that their predictions have not come to pass. Yes, there was a legal case that should have gone before the Supreme Court (and many cases in the past 8+ years actually). That aside, God does not and never has been wrong no matter what cases are dismissed or heard.

Kim Clement (now deceased), Mark Taylor, Pat Robertson, Lance Wallnau, Kat Kerr, Jeremiah Johnson, Andrew Wommack, Hank Kunneman, Pastors Paul and Denise Goulet, Kenneth Copeland, Curt Landry and Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj — and there are likely a host of others — all prophesied Trump’s win in this election (sources listed below) and of him having a second term. And many social media sites are rife with numerous people in shock over what is happening when they banked on what these prophets had said.

Let’s take a brief look at what some of these prophets said.

In an article dated October 9, 2020, Lance Wallnau is quoted as saying that the archangel Michael along with other archangels would lead the Trump team to victory in the presidential election. Wallnau goes on to say, “I believe on election day there will be a surge … I really believe God’s grace on America, God’s mercy on America, isn’t finished yet and boy, it would be finished if there weren’t a Trump sitting in that seat.’’ Even though Lance Wallnau did not out and out say Trump will win a second term, he still sounds like the other false prophets who have predicted that the archangel Michael will be involved in this election. “According to Christian preacher and occasional prophet Dr. Lance Wallnau, the Almighty has tapped Archangel Saint Michael, who is referred to in the Bible’s Book of Daniel, to lead a team of fellow archangels to descend from heaven to achieve the victory.”

Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj says that “God’s will is that Mr. Trump should be, should serve another term.” This is the same Selvaraj who speaks with dead saints as if it is absolutely normal and acceptable, and no one seems to question this behavior even though it is clearly NECROMANCY. Succinctly put, necromancy is communication with the dead. This is seen in the story of King Saul in 1 Samuel 28 when the king sought out a medium in order to get instruction from the dead prophet Samuel. God had rejected Saul as king of Israel and would not instruct him regarding war, because Saul’s heart was not right before the Lord and his disobedience proved this (1 Samuel 15). Thus, already disobedient, Saul went on to reject God’s commandment against communicating with the dead. Deuteronomy 18:11 is clear regarding God’s heart on this topic. Necromancy is an abomination to be avoided at all costs. In the Hebrew language the term refers to one who consults a familiar spirit, a medium who acts as an empty bottle for the communication of the demonic entity, one who seeks, inquires of or consults the dead. According to the Britannica, “Necromancy, communication with the dead, usually in order to obtain insight into the future or to accomplish some otherwise impossible task. Such activity was current in ancient times among the Assyrians, Babylonians, Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, and Etruscans; in medieval Europe it came to be associated with black (i.e., harmful, or antisocial) magic and was condemned by the church.” The Merriam-Webster dictionary agrees that it is usually about predicting the future. Furthermore, it is considered “Black Magic” that can be practiced using elaborated services or merely through a vision, sought or otherwise — like Selvaraj’s vision.

Kat Kerr, known as an author and prophetess, while speaking to the Elijah List, boldly proclaimed that “Trump will be president. No matter what you hear…Trump will win. He will be president of the United States. He will sit in that office for four more years and God will have His way in this country.” She reiterated this January 6th when she said that God took her into the future and showed her that Trump wins.

Jeremiah Johnson, also recognized as a prophet, said in the last few months, “Either a lying spirit has filled the mouths of numerous trusted, prophetic voices in America, or Donald J. Trump really has won the presidency, and we are witnessing a diabolical, evil plan unfold to steal the election.” On November 11, 2020, Jeremiah Johnson said, “As someone who is in touch with all the prophets in America who have prophesied that Donald Trump would win a second term, they’re not giving an inch. They’re not willing to budge. They’re not willing to repent. All of US are unanimous, believing the word that God spoke to us that Trump indeed would win a reelection, and that what’s happening right now is the false prophets of the media are literally cutting themselves, they’re dancing in the street, and they’re shouting. Meanwhile there are much larger issues on our hands than just a presidency. I’ve told people this — listen — if he doesn’t end up getting reelected I will openly repent to the body of Christ. I don’t believe that just because you miss a prophecy makes you a false prophet.” (emphasis added mine).

On November 4th, Curt Landry stated in his live youtube broadcast that Michael the archangel needed to be released in order to help and that Mr. Landry needed the help of Jonathan Hammel (the so-called “gate keeper” and “Apostolic Watchman” of D.C.).

Furthermore, Landry states that Trump will still win; it’s just taking more time in the spirit realm to win the battle, and he reminds his listeners that it took 21 days for Gabriel to get to Daniel because of the many layers of warfare. Furthermore, he states (at the 21.5 minutes mark of the video link below) that the sheep must become lions, to learn to roar, to learn to take dominion and quit wanting to be taken care of by the Shepherd. And he concludes with a prayer that shifts to “prophesying” that god says (at about the 35.5 minute mark of the video link below), “son of man do you think that I am going to allow my prophets who prophesied Trump’s second term, and prophesied all this goodness coming to this nation to be mocked by a mass media manipulation? The Lord says, “No I shall not! For my name’s sake I shall protect my word! I shall protect my people! I shall protect my prophets from this evil destruction! For I shall pull back the veil, and I shall reveal that which is done in darkness…son of man prophesy unto Wisconsin that it will go red for Trump; prophesy unto Michigan that it will go red for Trump; prophesy unto Pennsylvania that it will go red for Trump; prophesy unto North Carolina that it goes red for Trump; prophesy unto Georgia that it goes red for Trump; prophesy unto Nevada that it goes red for Trump; prophesy for recounts…” and on and on. But, I guess Michael had not yet been freed, for 21 days later nothing happened to reverse the present course.

Meanwhile, Pastor Dana Coverstone, whose dreams have been coming to pass, has had several dreams wherein the Oval Office is vacant of a leader, the Statue of Liberty being forcefully murdered, our rule of law based on the Bible is unjustly declared guilty and hung, and America declared by God to no longer be a Republic; there will be a collapsed economy, great chaos, earthquakes, fires and explosions ensuing, the destruction of free speech and internet censoring, and the UN being called upon to host this nation. Furthermore, and in agreement, a man named Jeremy, an ex-32nd Degree Freemason, via various Freemason sources, has warned that there will be a possible staged assassination, chaos, and a collapse of the American economy. Both of these, unbeknownst to each other, have predicted via dreams (Coverstone) and sources (Jeremy) that America is about to collapse and the presidential seat will be vacant for a time (which it was through December, for no one appeared to know what was going on nor knew who had really been elected).

So then…where do we stand now? Who do we believe? Who speaks for the Lord?

Let’s start at the beginning and take a look at what God has to say regarding His mode of communication. Isaiah 6:8 recounts Isaiah’s experience before the throne of God, “I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Amos 3:7 states, “Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but He revealeth his secret unto His servants the prophets.” Acts 2 also states, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy…” And in 1 Corinthians 12 and 14 prophesying among Christians gathered together is perceived as normal and a blessing if done in an orderly and respectful manner and with great discernment based on the Word of God — even Jesus the Word made flesh. After all, “the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Revelation 19:10). For truly, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds…” (Hebrews 1:1-2).

Thus, God has communicated through His Son, and His Son asked the Father to baptize believers in the Holy Spirit that they might be empowered as witnesses and to prophesy. God is very clear about what prophesying is to look like, namely, the one prophesying is to speak God’s exact words. Because it is God’s Spirit inspiring any prophetic utterance, the words are God’s and will NEVER — I repeat “never” — be wrong. “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost,” (2 Peter 1:20).

This leads us to Deuteronomy 18:20-22 states, “But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken?22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” This passage is cut and dry. If what is said does not come to pass, then the one who prophesied it is false.

Now Deuteronomy 13 tackles a more complicated prophecy by saying, “If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.” In other words, if one prophesies something that comes to pass and even performs miracles to prove it but is visiting with the dead in visions or preaching that Jesus was the first one who needed to be born again, or that Jesus was tormented in hell, then they are false prophets and not of God. God allows for situations like this to happen in order to test His people, to see if they know and honor His word ABOVE all else.

Even as we think on these passages of Scripture and are considering all that is happening at present, let us also remember something else. Our present America that these prophets have prophesied good things over, is so riddled with sin that if it were a body with cancer it would be well-beyond fourth stage at this point. Here are just a few reasons why. California just passed a law that children can opt for sex changes and another law that lowers penalties for pedophiles. Washington state just passed a sex ed law that is beyond perverse, which teaches 3rd graders sexual positions etc. The blood of murdered babies cries out from sea to shining sea on the altar of the god of convenience. Injustice rules in our courtrooms. Christians are persecuted simply for meeting at church and are faced with fines, threats of bulldozing their church buildings, and jail time, while other Christians have lost their businesses because they took a stand for biblical principles and against perversion. And then there are the false prophets who prophesy good things, and who excuse their prophetic inaccuracies, saying they are “learning” when it is clear from Scripture that a prophet must 100% of the time be 100% accurate! (Deuteronomy 13 and 18). And these are just the tip of the iceberg. How can this sin-riddled America be great? Why would God bless this unrepentant America?

Where does it say in Scripture that prophets learn by trial and error? Where does it say that God blesses nations that are full of blood guilt and perversion? Where does it say that prophets can still be considered prophets when they have prophesied incorrectly? Where does it state that Michael the archangel needs us to get him released? Where does it say in Scripture that we as Christians are to ditch being sheep who are dependent on the Shepherd and to take on the role of lions learning to roar??? No where!

When it comes to prophetic accuracy, 1 Samuel 3:19 says it best, “The Lord was with Samuel as he grew up, and he let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan to Beersheba recognized that Samuel was attested as a prophet of the Lord”.

If these are indeed prophets of the Lord, then we would have seen their words come to pass regarding Trump. But, their words did not come to pass. Their words have fallen to the ground and God has through their very outspoken, loud decrees revealed what they truly are: False! Thus, it appears that God has turned these prophets on their heads and the carpet has been pulled out from beneath them just as Coverstone was told in his October dream (the link of which is listed below). Kunneman called it “the year of the tongue” and indeed, God is dealing with the lying tongues of these prophets this year.

In answer to Jeremiah Johnson’s question stated above: Yes. It is yes on both counts and not an either or. Yes a lying spirit filled the mouths of the prophets, and yes there is a diabolical plot.

Yes, a lying spirit has filled the mouths of all these so-called prophets of the Lord, just as they did in 1 Kings 22, and just as then, the lying spirit prevailed in the mouths of all 400 prophets. Let us not forget that throughout the Bible there were always HUGE numbers of false prophets prophesying good things, smooth things, feel good things, peace and prosperity, and a very small, minuscule number of true prophets who called the people to repentance and holiness. Furthermore, the majority always attempts to drown out the call to broken repentance and warnings of judgment. As Isaiah 30:9-10 states, “…this is a rebellious people, Lying children, Children who will not hear the law of the Lord; 10 Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.” Indeed, is this not so today? Have not modern prophets prophesied peace and good things to come to a divided Church full of sin and a demented nation full of pride? “2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3 For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape,” (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3).

And yes, there is a diabolical, evil plan in play at the moment, BUT the unseating of Trump was not its aim. Indeed, the diabolic, evil plot goes a whole lot farther back than this election and even encompasses Trump himself. The goal has been and is the formation of a one world, new world government. After all, look at what has already encompassed the world and how all are in lock step with the plan. The goal has also been the formation of a one world economy after collapsing all economies of the world. And indeed, this can be seen worldwide as well. And the goal has been the formation of a one world religion and the destruction of Christianity. Even so, persecution is intensifying worldwide. And ultimately their aim, their agenda, their goal is to dethrone God.

But God is not surprised by any of this. From the perspective of God, ALL–including all nations that rage and the people who plot a vain thing (Psalm 2)–is still under His control as He brings the unholy portion of His Church to her knees in repentance, uses the false prophets for His purpose, and leads an unrepentant, defiant America –and the world– to judgment via the revealing and unveiling of the book of Revelation.

As the day of the Lord draws near, the Bible is quite clear that things will get worse not better. Yes, God will move among His people and is moving, and He is sending out workers into His harvest field regardless of who is president, king, prince, prime minister, queen, etc. It has never matter to God who is ruling. What has always mattered is the state of the hearts of His people. Thus, He is at this time calling His Church to recognize sin as sin, for brokenness for their own sin, for repentance of that sin, and for a return to holiness without which no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). Is He knocking at your door? (Revelation 3:14-22).

Jesus is coming soon. Let’s be ready!

With all that is transpiring in our world today and the swift approach of Revelation and the Great Tribulation/Jacob’s Trouble/the Day that includes economic collapse, food shortages/famine (which are already manifesting worldwide), violent riots, political unrest, and the unprecedented arrival of Christian persecution in the U.S. and ongoing and presently escalating persecution worldwide, this is the prescription of Dr. Jesus. The passage of Philippians 4:6-9 covers incredibly powerful, life-altering topics that we cannot afford to miss!

Philippians 4:6-9 has been the topic of seven previous Bible studies and has included the concept of 4 puzzle pieces: “Do Not Worry,” “Thankful Prayer,” and “Think on These Things.” Today we’re going to cover the 4th puzzle piece found in Philippians 4:9 which is that of “Habitual Practice”.

Philippians 4:9 says, “9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.”

Now, what were the Philippians to practice exactly? That which they had learned, received, heard, and seen of course! So, what was it that they had learned, received, heard and seen? Before we get to some of those specifics, let’s take a look at the Greek behind those four important words: Learn, Receive, Hear, See, and Do.

A Little Greek Lesson

The Greek word for Learn is not the type of learning that can be attained overnight, but rather, is acquired from experience through a great deal of reflection and discipline.

The Greek word for Received comes from the combination of two Greek words which when combined mean, “to aggressively take alongside,” or “to receive with the mind.” In other words, you really want it and readily receive it.

The Greek for Hear, literally means “to hear (listen)” and figuratively means, “to hear God’s voice” which leads to inner faith. After all, “Faith come by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

The Greek meaning of to See can mean to physically see, but can also mean to perceive with the mind “with inward spiritual perception” all through experience.

And To Do in the Greek means to practice regularly, to “perform repeatedly or habitually” and is not just a one time thing. In other words, what one was discipled in, exuberantly received, heard with their inner ears, and saw with their spiritual eyes, was to be lived out over and over again.

Paul’s Example

Now in order for us to apply this passage to ourselves, we need to know what they had learned, received, heard and seen in Paul. To better understand this, let’s go back into Philippians 3 beginning in verse 8.

“Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ…10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death… forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you….17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.”

And then Paul goes on to say in Philippians 4:4, 11-13, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice…11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

A God-Sufficiency

According to this passage, Paul had learned through experience, reflection and discipline to be content, to be satisfied, to have an “inward sufficiency” that comes from the empowerment of Christ. A God-Sufficiency. Paul also knew how to be “abased”, that is, to be completely humble, even humiliated and God-reliant instead of self-reliant or others-reliant, as well as to “superabound” and to have excess. Furthermore, he had been instructed. The word used here should not merely say “I am instructed,” but rather should be translated, “I have learned the secret,” for it does include a message of powerful importance. And the Secret appears to have to do with the art of being famished or full, the art of superabounding in goods or suffering in great need.

In every secret society or brotherhood or fraternity there is always what is called an initiation for the newcomer, and nearly if not always, the new initiate has to go through some sort of pain or humiliation or bloodshed of some kind in order to be initiated into the group. The word used for the mystery religions of Paul’s day for doing such an initiation was the word used here for “I have been instructed” or “I have learned the secret.” It is not just a mere instruction that anyone would learn in the classroom, but rather pictures the initiate closing their eyes and mouth in order to “experience [the] mystery” and thus be “initiated into the wonderful “mystery revelation” of learning.”

The Ceremonial Initiation of Suffering

What is the mystery in which Paul had been instructed? Succinctly put: remaining in perfect peace while suffering. After all, Paul had gone through and would continue to go through extensive persecution, physical and emotional pain, poverty, severe opposition, and deep disappointments. As it says in 2 Corinthians 11, “in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. 24Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one [195 lashes].25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.” And yet in all of it Paul goes on to say,“29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.” In chapter 4 states, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh….14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”

Application

Indeed, Paul had learned the secret, and had been initiated into “Christ’s sufferings” and that secret was resting in Christ and remaining in God’s peace through it and in spite of it all.

Now, how about us? Have we been initiated? Let us learn this secret of how to be unshakably peaceful, this mystery of being content in Christ no matter where we are located, no matter what is in our tummies, no matter what people are with us or not with us, no matter how much or how little money we have in our pockets, not matter if the economy collapses, no matter what the political climate, no matter who is president, no matter who is in Congress or what mandates or executive orders or laws or judgments are made in the days and weeks and months to come.

Through Paul, the Philippians had learned, received, heard, and seen what to do in the midst of good times and bad times, times of great overflowing abundance and times of little to nothing, days of great discomfort and days of a multitude of benefits. But, have we as modern day readers done the same? The Gospel is not just about the good days, but about the bad. The Gospel, as exemplified through Christ, does not promise us smooth sailing, great wealth, or only good times. Really, it guarantees us the opposite. It says we are blessed when we are persecuted (Matthew 5:10-12), that we are to take up our shameful cross daily and follow Christ (Luke 9:23 and 14:27), that we are to rejoice anyway in all situations (Philippians 4:4), and that when we are generous here (whether we have a little with which to be generous or a lot) then we have riches in heaven (Matthew 6:19-21). The Gospel promises us something more amazing, more mind blowing and more incredible than what this superficial world will ever experience. It promises us REST, whether we are rich or destitute, when we are starving or fat and sassy. It promises us a sufficiency in Christ that nothing can touch! It promises us unshakable peace that nothing can defeat! It promises us that we are more than conquerors through Christ (Romans 8). Do YOU know this peace????

We along with Paul are called to count all accomplishments and gains and all that this world looks up to as dung (or as I called it while growing up on a farm “horse apples” or “mud pies” or “cow plop” or in Dutch “stront”). We too are called to fellowship with Christ in His suffering. We are not to be conformed to this world’s standards, but instead are called with Paul to conform to Christ in His death. We are called to follow Paul in his example of following Christ, and are to thus learn the art of suffering well. We are to habitually practice peace in both prosperity and poverty, in humiliation and happiness.

For when we habitually practice what we have learned, received, heard and seen, then “the God of peace will be with you,” and Him being with us, changes us from glory to glory. As it says in Romans 8:16-18, “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

Let’s keep our focus on Jesus and remain in His perfect peace even as the darkness grows and the world is set up for judgment and the Day of His return draws ever nearer!

Jehovah Shalom: Think On These Things

When it comes to Philippians 4:6-9, there are four puzzle pieces that need to be connected in order to make a picture. Puzzle piece number one is “Do Not Worry.” Puzzle piece number two is “Thankful Prayer.” Puzzle piece number three is “Think on These Things.” And puzzle piece number four is “Habitual Practice.”

What I have wondered is this, once you have presented your request to God with thanksgiving, what’s next? So, you come away from the prayer, but the prayer still appears unanswered. Now what? How does one not worry? How does one not lie awake at night wondering about how things will work out or how things might have been different or how if only I had done such-and-such or why is this still happening to me?

Puzzle Piece #3

This is where puzzle piece number three comes into play, and this piece is VITAL for it is all about what we are thinking about from second to second. This vital piece of information is found in Philippians 4:8.

So Then, What Are We To Think About?

Philippians 4:8,9 tells us exactly what we are to think about when it says, “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

Now for the sake of gaining a better understanding of these terms that we are to think on, let us briefly look at the words in Greek. We could go in depth about each word, but we will not be doing so today. But, we are going to go one word at a time beginning with the first word of the sentence, “finally.”

The Meaning Behind the Words

“Finally” in the Greek means, “from this time on,” the time “remaining.”

“Whatsoever” means, “how great, how much, as great as,” and thus, however often we think, and we think a multitude of thoughts, we are to think on these things. Plus, it means that there is a “great amount of truth,” there is a “large amount of that which is just,” etc. And we are not to forget all of God’s many benefits bestowed upon us!! Psalm 103

“True” means that which is void of a lie and cannot tell a lie. It is sincere not just as an outward show, but true in conduct, upright, honest, the real or genuine, that which is unhidden, that which is not a secret, true in itself. The Bible says, God’s Word is truth, the Spirit is Truth, and Jesus is both the Word and Truth.

“Honest” also means “noble” and is that which is “dignified.” That which is “derived from a higher citizenship.” That which is awe-inspiring. That which leads one to worship.

“Just” also means “righteous,” and is the “…Conformity to the will and nature of God Himself.” Thus the righteous are “those who have conditioned their lives by the standard which is not theirs, but God’s.” It comes from inside but is seen on the outside, and has much to do with doing good for others.

“Pure” means pure, and is that which is innocent and blameless, modest, perfect and holy.

To be “lovely” means to be “Dear to someone, beloved.” And comes from two words, one meaning face to face and the other meaning friend or someone dear or with whom you have things in common.

“Good report” means to be “well-spoken of, of good report, praiseworthy, laudable.”

“If there be any…” is a special kind of clause called an “if…then” clause. Thus, it could read, “if there be any virtue…then think on it.”

“Virtue” means that which is “pleasing to God, or the superiority of God revealed in the work of salvation…denotes in a moral sense what gives man his worth, his efficiency…moral excellency, perfection, goodness of action.”

“Praise” means just that, “That which is praiseworthy.”

“Think on” means “to occupy oneself with reckonings or calculations.” “To value or esteem.” “Take an inventory” of such things, “mediate” on them. Feel free to go over them and over them and over them and over them, because they are counted worthy of your thoughts, your time, your mind.

“Finally [from this time on], brethren, whatsoever things are true [innately true, like God’s Word], whatsoever things are honest [inspires us to worship], whatsoever things are just [God’s standard of good and doing good], whatsoever things are pure [innocent and holy], whatsoever things are lovely [dearly beloved with whom you have things in common], whatsoever things are of good report [well-spoken of]; if there be any virtue [that which is pleasing to God], and if there be any praise [praiseworthy], [then] think [reckon these thoughts as worthy to occupy your mind with and meditate upon over and over again] on these things.”

What we think about is important, because Jesus said, “out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks,” Matthew 12:34. In our modern English we think of heart and mind as separate entities, but in Hebrew the mind and heart are inseparably the same, and in Greek the word here in Matthew 12 for heart, Kardia, actually means “the heart, the mind…,” “thoughts and feelings,” “the affective center of our being…our desire-decisions that establish who we really are” (https://biblehub.com/greek/2588.htm). Even physically the mind and heart are interconnected, and our physical heart “is not just a pump; it also acts like a mini brain. [For,] Science demonstrates that your heart has its own independent nervous system…Science is discovering that your heart’s brain is a real “intelligent force” behind the intuitive thoughts and feelings you experience.” (Who Switched Off My Brain, book by Caroline Leaf, pg 71).

The Washing of the Word

Now, since what we think about is so important, and God has listed 8 things we are to think about, how do we know what is true or worshipful or holy or good news or what pleases God? How can we know what to think about unless we know what those things really are?

Ephesians 5:25b-27 helps us to better know the source of this information. “…as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;26 That He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word,27 That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.” We are cleansed and made holy as the Spirit of God leads us into all truth (John 16:13), and God’s word is the truth (John 17:17, 20:31), Jesus is the word (John 1) and the truth (John 14:6). According to 1 Thessalonians 2:13,“…when ye [the Thessalonians] received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”

Not only is God’s Word Truth itself, but if we are in the Word it “effectually worketh” in us. “Effectually worketh” is the same term used of Elijah’s prayers in James 5:16, when it says that the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much. The term “effectual” means not merely to work, but pictures an electrical current that “energizes” a wire, which in turn, causes a lightbulb to switch on (https://biblehub.com/greek/1754.htm). It is via God’s Word of Truth that He sanctifies us, makes us holy.

Furthermore, God’s Word expounds on that which pleases God and transforms and renews us. As Romans 12:1-2 says,“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Thus, God’s word enlightens us as to what God’s will is, what God wants, what God expects, what God desires us to be thinking about. And the more we think on His Word the more our thinking changes from that of the world’s standards and to that of God’s standards. It transforms us, and the term “transforms” us is incredibly powerful. It means to metamorphis or transfigure (https://biblehub.com/greek/3339.htm). We’ve heard that word before in the story of Jesus’ transfiguration, when His body glowed with light.

What is transfiguring us? The renewing of our minds. What makes our minds new? God’s Word. We are no longer to be conformed to this world, because instead we are to be “conformed to the image of Christ” (Romans 8:29). We are to be metamorphosed, transformed from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18), via a new mind attained through the washing of the Word.

Conclusion: Jesus is the Word

On top of this, Jesus was the “word” made flesh who dwelt among us. So, even as the word is holy and worthy of our thoughts and thus transforms our minds, Jesus who is the word itself is ultimately to be the focus of our thought life — especially now as the days grow darker and His return draws near. We are called to be transformed by the renewing of our minds (Romans 12:2). Evil is working extra hard to steal, kill, and destroy, especially through deception right now. Remember, deception is the greatest Last Days’ threat. Thus, we are to all the more keep our eyes and minds on Him, even as He said in Luke 21:28, that when we begin to see these things (like we are) come to pass, we are to lift up our heads/eyes, for our redemption is drawing near! As we do so, He will indeed keep us in perfect peace.

No matter what may come, keep looking up, keep your minds on Jesus and what He said. Let’s live it. Let’s encourage others with it. Let’s love others to Jesus, and love others in Jesus. He’s is coming soon. Let’s be ready!
